hi guys im gonna be replacing my engine i got a stock trx 2.5, i was wonder what should i get 2.5r or a trx 3.3.

i was thinkin the 3.3 but i heard with the 2.5 tranny all i would do is strip gears can u tell me if a 3.3 with a 2.5 tranny will work good?

The 3.3 will work fine with the stock 2.5r tranny.

its not a 2.5r it was an old 2.5, dont kno if theres a big diff tho

There's not a big difference at all.
I put the .18TM in my 2.5 Revo and could not be happier. I would pick it over either a 2.5r or a 3.3 - well, that's probably obvious since I did pick it...

I have a t-maxx 2.5 with the 3.3 on it, and I have not hurt my tranny any. I spolled the rear diff and have ripped apart a few axles. CVDS fixed that problem. I also put on a steal spear gear but that was because they was running a sale on them and I would put a steal spear gear on it even if i put the 2.5r back on it. Get your 3.3 you will not hurt your tranny any. I was glad I put the 3.3 on, you will not belive the proformance when tuned right.
