3W 150 carb problem
Hi,
My 3W 150 runs perfectly etc, etc. Only problem is starting where it just doesn't pull fuel through at all, even with the choke on.
Tank has been checked, air tight and can blow fuel through no problem. Seems like a strange problem as it is obviously pumping fine as it runs fine.
Any ideas?

Angus, take the carb apart and make sure there is nothing in the small screen. This could be your problems if all you lines and such have no pinholes.

RE: 3W 150 carb problem
The piston going up in the cylinder creates suction...If you completely close off the mouth of the carb the only place the suction can draw from, if there is no leak, is through the inlet needle of the carb..If there is no leak anywhere the suction pulls fuel from the tank into the crankcase..Most obvious place for the leak is under the carb...There's a gasket on the case, then a metal spacer, another gasket, then a black plastic block, then the reed holder, then another gasket, then the block the carb bolts onto, then another gasket , then the carb..Lots of places to leak....
