Quad cat in the UK
My original yellow quad was shipped to the UK a few weeks ago and the new owner has some photos to share.

Hi Danny,
Your quad cats looks real nice. It's to bad shipping cost to Canada is so high. I am still looking for other shipping methods !!! Good jobs on those cats.

It's not about the numbers with boats like these, performance is more than adequate and until you have driven one, you can't begin to imagine what it's like. All you need is deep pockets to own one.
You can't race boats like these on a normal oval course, the corners come up too quick, the rooster tail blocks your view and there are 2 very large holes in the water that you can't drive another boat through for at least 50 meters behind them.
Cheers, Danny.

Well you guys are allot different then me. Its aways about #'s in my book. I race everything I own and don't own. It doesn't matter about size in this case. I cant even drive to the local store in the wife's 4 cylinder with out seeing how fast it is. Maybe its just me. I haven't run a big boat yet but I will in the near future and It will be wide open, Guaranteed. I was just wondering how well the twins run. Ive worked on every engine under the sun and was thinking a twin would be hard to tune for Maxim power. Because if you have one cylinder out of tune just a little it would cost allot of power. Then you have one cylinder pulling the other. It looks like you have allot of experience. So I was wondering how well do they run with an experience tuner. I may build one next. That's all. If you bring it over here the only way I'll be fifty meters back is if your out running me.

I had to give bikes up, to many broken bones. I just do some drag racing now. Its a little safer. I wasn't trying to offend anybody just speaking my mind. Sorry if I did. Tim

Certainly didn't offend me. Just thinking with a "flat out" kind of attitude that you were perfect for bikes.
Seems to have been the case!!
Used to race bikes a bit but you are right, too may bones broken and it hurts more as you get older.

John UK, Your mounts are on there way and the full carbon cat is mine. It is still the only one in existence until the next one is born in a week or so.
John AU, I still have Georges engines here to fit clutches to, just waiting on the few more bits.
I have put in in-line in my 60" mono to try for the first time this weekend. I've seen heaps of build posts in past months on several forums with in-lines in monos but still no news on them running so I thought I would test the waters with mine. I know what these torque monsters are capable of from running them in the big cats spinning the 8517/3 at 16000 so I am eager to try this set up in the mono. I have 3 props big enough to try which are UK Prop shop 8517/3, 8517/5 and 8819/3.
Cheers, Danny.
