huh.... that's odd I know people with OS .30vg's in their revo's that have had no problems with their UV's.

if you want to race go the O.S .18 TM, it has plenty of power for the track, it is easy to tune, hold a tune very well, and wont break the drive line.

the Picco .26 is a great bash engine, heaps of low end grunt, and wheelie popping power, but not a great racing engine, to much low end, so it likes to lift the front end up out of corners, not enough top end so it's speed isn't that great.

the RB TM523 is proberly the best compromise, it has plenty of power to wheelie on the low end, but not as much low end as the Picco, but the top end is amazing, has great top speed, but then it is also expensive.

the STS .30 is like strapping a large rocket motor to a small chicken (the STS is the large rocket motor, and the REVO is the small chicken), it go's like a bat outa hell, you grab the throttle from a stand still and it will flip ya right over, if you have full throttle at all in first gear it will flip, to much throttle when it hits second gear, yep you will flip, just about any speed it will flip if your not carefull, it takes very good throttle control to drive with the STS .30, or really any engine .27 and over, not a racing engine, and most people don't take any note at all of the head shims in the STS .30, it has 1.1 mm of clearance total for the break in, most people leave it like that, imagine if they took that down from 1.1 mm to .5 or .4 of a mm...

Usually MIP cvds are the best but people have problems with the pins falling out. I am going to get the Tsais T-Bonz, from what I've heard they work pretty good and they have rubber boots on the bottom to keep the grease in and the dirt out.

why do people get forwards only conversion kits ,i dont see why?????
Less rotating mass witch gives it alittle better acceleration, its lighter because you can getting rid of alot of junk like the opti drive and the servo, and the reverse gears tend to strip easily(I went through 2 gears before i decided to switch to the FOC)

STS D30M is by far the best, way more power and it's cheaper. Lol this thread is getting way to hectic.
In the end, ithe picco will be cheaper to run. Nova .28 will outrun it, no contest.

Picco is cheaper huh?? the STS D30M engine AND the STS 0702 pipe from stsmicroengines.com and the New Era engine mount from neweremodels.com comes to a total of 212 dollars. The picco .26 is like $180 plus the $15 engine mount, that is about $195 without a pipe, and with less power than the STS. and I was reffering to the 4 engines that we were talking about, the STS, the .26 max, the .18tm, and the 3.3; out of those engines the STS has the most power by far. and yes, the racing engine that costs $200 more will outrun the STS, which is ment to be a cheap bashing engine.

EDIT: and I forgot to add that I have a Novarossi carb to put on the engine, so I am not so sure about the 528xr being able to outrun me, with the right gearing, wheelie bar, and the perfect pipe for this engine I just might be able to beat a Nova. and coming to a total of about $150 ($30 wheelie bar, $20 dollars in gearing, and $15 on the Nova carb(guy spelt novarossi wrong on ebay))
