Default DA-85 Engine Reports Please

OK, some of you have the DA-85 flying by now. What airplane did you choose? What is your experience with this new engine model thus far? How did you outfit the servo and electrical systems?

Would you recommend it for first giant gas aerobat, such as the SD or AW Yak 33% ? How about the Extra 260?

Looks great in person. Haven't seen it mounted on a plane, though. Found out the ignition is identical to the DA-50. How do I know? My ignition died on my fiddy and I was able to borrow the ignition of my buddy's brand new DA-85. Anybody who will loan parts from their NEW engine is a friend indeed. Meant 800 miles one way to fly with him was not a waste of time and gas.

Looking forward to hear how this one runs. I have a 2.6 Comp-ARF Extra which I started with a DA-50 when they were new, had vairous problems switched to a 3W-75 and had even more. Haven't flown the plane in over a year. Maybe if this ones good I drop one in? Watcha think? Got an all up weight on it yet?

I was gonna say... what??? I have a 2.6 (102") with a DA-100... perfect match. A 50 is not near enough power for much more than straight back and forth flying. Not to mention, how the hell would you balance it?

I'm putting mine in an SD 33% Yak from TBM. The engine looks pretty cool. I should have it ready to fly in about 3 weeks. So far it looks like a great engine.

Thanks
Barry
