I'm about an hour and 10 minutes away. And considering I'm not quite old enough to drive yet, I only get to go about once a month. But when I do go, I stockpile on a bunch of parts so I dont have to worry about not being able to get something.

Its funny, I live in a huge metropolitan area but I dont have an LHS that caters to RC cars within half an hour of here. I have an LHS that deals with airplanes and model trains, so I can get some parts and things there but nothing car specific. Plus if you go in there and mention RC cars they look at you as if you're a complete idiot or something. I pretty much always order online.

Mines about an hour away has traxxas and Duratrax cars and parts. nice guy but i wish he was a bit closer. My friends father has been racing T-maxx's for 15 years and has a bunch of parts for the t-maxx. My friend and I both have them so we visit there often as possible. we usually get some pretty decent discounts.

i have an RC Hobbies close and they have sooo much stuff. i have never had to go anywhere else except to get a wing and mount. they didnt have that. they sell a ton of electrict and nitro. but mostly all offroad stuff. which is good for me but bad for some other people. they have enough traxxas parts to completely build a revo or tmaxx from scratch. also have RB engines OS engines and Picco engines. what even better is they know what they are doing. they all race and have been into RC for a long time. when i first got my revo i had an air leak and they figured it out in about 5 minutes and didnt even charge me anything.

I have a Hobbypeople about 5mins from my house. They only carry Traxxas Tamiya Associated HPI and IRC. They also have a bunch of plane crap. They carry like 2 brands of nitro fuel and never have the right parts in stock. There is also 2 Hobbytowns with in a 15 minuet drive from my house and a Busy Bee hobbies 20mins away. There is a Pegasus about 30 minuets away and Ultimate Hobbies is a little less than a hour away. So im right in the middle of a bunch....

Maybe 10 minutes in good traffic to RC Hobbies in Tamarac, Florida.. Or maybe 25 minutes to Warick's Super Hobby Shop south of I-595 in Sunirse, Florida...

It's not far, it just getting your parents to drive you that's the problem when you're 16. Need a few more hours and some time to get my license, and I need another thousand dollers to get a nice, used car.
