Default T-MAXX 3.3 UPGRADE

I put a 3.3 in an older t-maxx and when putting the post in for the throttle linkage per the template and instructions it sits so close to the carb that the throttle is partially open with the air cleaner on. Is there an adapter for the carb or something to move the air cleaner up or some other way to avoid re drilling for that post ????

Thanks

Is the linkage actually hitting the air filter? If so, then something wasn't right when you drilled. My post is about 1/16" from the tranny. Redrilling is going to be tricky. Maybe a Motorsaver air filter has a thinner neck and would clear the linkage. If your not using a Motorsaver already, you should be. Sorry I couldn't be more help. I just had a thought! Eureeka! Loosen the carb and rotate it clockwise (slightly). That should move the linkage forward, but watch that it doesn't get into the spur gear at full throttle. You'll probably have to adjust the servo to post linkage.

Thanks, I was able to weak the linkage rods slightly and everything clears perfect now. It hauls a** after break in.
