Website is down (www.usamt.com).
Email is down.

Are they still out there ? are they in business ?

Whats the thrust rating on a 2002 AMT180 air start ? SN is 241037.

amt 180= 18 lbs- 180sp= 20lbs
280= 28 lbs 280sp= 30-32lbs
450= 45 lbs

Id3m,

As Randy said the Factory Specs are between 18 and 20 pounds, I will check with the factory to see if they have a file on that engine.

Do you know what the Maximum RPM is set to on that ECU?

This engine was up for sale on the classified, hence he has to run the engine to know the rpm (gen1?) unless he already bought it and ran it...[8D]

I dont know what RPM is set on that ECU, sorry.

whats the price of a conversion from 180 to 180sp ?

If I am not mistaken, the 180SP had some different internal parts to handle the higher heat and output. I have had a Mercury or two since 1998. The original Mercury RPM was set at around 142-144K for about 16# of thrust. The next step was to 147k for approx 18# of push. The 180sp were set to approx 152k for the 20-21 of thrust. However almost any turbine's thrust will vary somewhat. It all depends on each particular motor. Some will put out a liitle more, depending on the internal tolerances etc. . Some turbines just put out a liitle more than others!
