I'm new at this and got my first plan since I was a kid. Back then we had ribbons that showed the frequency we were using. My plane didn't come with any frequency ribbons. Do we need to use them and if so where should I go to find the colors I need.

At our local flying field, we attach our AMA membership card on the channel you are operating so other will know. This channel assignment board is located at the entrance of the flying field.
