Default New Rustler VXL help

OK new VXL rustler with a 11.1 5000hv lipo from max amps. at full charge runs for a short time ( 10 seconds or so ) then the slow blinking red light comes on, low voltage cut off comes on. that seems to fast for the battery and set up any ideas??

sorry i didnt read all the way through the officail rustler ginormous thread.

sounds like you are having early LVC issues. this mostly happens with 3S lipos. you can get a Novak smart stop for 3S and install it and run the ESC with the LVC off and that'll fix it.

Ok got the new esc from traxxas...same problem. put the truck on a stand and and gave it the juice no problem. Then I put it on th ground and the LVC kicked in. started it over lossend the slipper just to make sure ...lvc kicked in. the drive train rolls smoothly. I can grab one tire and spin the other no binding. both tires turn together very well no binding....once I put a load on the truck the LVC kicks in.

So is this a battery problem or a traxxas problem. traxxas blames the battery and the battery people blame traxxas..... Guess this is a no fault and I should have got mamba. any way... what do you think.

maybe your motor is goofy, or your battery is giving a false peak on the charger. Have you tried another type of motor or another type of battery? try with a nimh and see what happens.

I had the same problem with my 3000 mah regular battery in my Rustler VXL. I know it's not a good idea to do with your LiPo, but I turned Low Voltage Detection to OFF.
