What hop-op options/upgrades should I get for TA03 chassis?
I finally acquired a NIB Porsche 911 PIAA in TA03RS chassis (looking for it for a while now), and I'll probably build it up soon. What hop-ups are a must for this chassis? My only other experience with RC cars is the TT01, and I got ball bearings, dampers, aluminum shaft, and that's about it.
For the TA03, I'd definitely like the ball bearings and shocks, and here's what I've found on ebay
Bearings
http://cgi.ebay.com/22pcs-Sealed-met...3286.m20.l1116
or this one
http://cgi.ebay.com/TAMIYA-TA03-TA03...3286.m20.l1116
Shocks
http://cgi.ebay.com/X-Spede-Tamiya-T...3A1%7C294%3A50
or should I pay double to get this damper set?
http://cgi.ebay.com/Tamiya-TA03-Supe...3286.m20.l1116
If there are any other recommendations for shocks or bearings, or any other upgrades I should get, please share! thanks

the TA-03R is a nice machine, and it deserves TRF shocks, take a look at my TRF thread and it will give you lots of ideas about hop-ups..

All 3 are comparable in price (within a few bucks), but none list the TA03 as a compatible model. However, I believe I saw someone use the fluorine coated ones on a TA03. Will there be fitment issues if I use those? They sure look nice. Any recommendations on performance?

the TRF did come with different colour shocks, but they are essentially the same design (so any TRF shocks will do) have a look here for parts numbers..
i'd recommend the alu heatsink, titanium suspension shaft, type a slicks and front one-way..

just so I'm clear... the fluorine ones will work even though TA03 isn't listed in their compativility list? they do look sweet!
also, what is a "front one-way"?

yes they are compatible, a front one-way is mainly for racers, i think it helps corner faster and when you brake it does nothing for the front wheels, i took mine out.
what motor are you running in it?

The front one-way has me intrigued... if the front wheels don't brake, wouldn't that make the car understeer more? That would make it harder to come out of sharp corners.
I don't know what motor I'm going to run yet. My kit is still in the box and I haven't started building it. More than likely, though, this will be a shelf queen because the relative scarcity of this particular body [&o]

a front one way will make you take sharper turns with less speed loss, but you give up braking for the front wheels, and you also have to be gentle on the brakes or else u spin.
