RE: crawlerking
I had a Wheelie King that I converted to be a Crawler before these came out. It did pretty good for having such a high CG. That transmission with the motor mounted so high is a definite set back on abilities.
I noticed in the description of the rig from HPI that it says locked gearboxes. I don't know if that means only the tranny or the tranny and axles or just the axles? Just verify that all 4 wheels are spinning when crawling over obstacles. If they are not all spinning, you need to lock the axles if you want the truck to perform like a crawler. They probably are locked already, but maybe this one slipped through a cracks? If you need to lock the transmission, go to RCCrawler and go to the first page of the WK section. There is a sticky on how to do that. The axles can be locked using JB weld, hot glue( like i did so you can undo it if you want) or by using the Axle axle lockers. I would also suggest taking the tires off (at least in the front) and adding some additional weight. That helped mine out a ton. I added 8 oz. of weight per front tire, but you can experiment with different weight. You will never be as stable as an SCX10 Crawler because of the stupid frame/transmission/motor placement, but you will see that it will be a capable rig.
Have fun...[link=http://www.youtube.com/user/zimatosa#p/a/u/1/cdphwioyCks]here is a short video of my Extended WK with 55T motor[/link]....Titled quicksilver 002
Peace,
