Default Homade SWISS Style Muffler anyone try one??

Thought about this VRS a Homade ALUm Beer BOttle CAn...

Wondering if anyone can chime in on this??

Im thinking it would get gunked up....

This is for a HOMEBUILT aircraft, so the numbers would have to be crunched a bit...

I see absolutley no reason for this not to work. A fellow on another r/c forum, is doing a cannister set up similar to this and has seen a drastic reduction in noise, by using glas insulation around a perforated pipe. The only downside, is you have to occasionaly replace the glas insulation. As long as one end is removable to allow this, I don't see that as a big issue.

Looks quite similar to the Mousse can mufflers that were touted in the mags a few years ago.
