Truggy Maxx- Old School
Is is the 3rd of 5 T-Maxx projects that I have been working on. It took me over a year to run down all the parts fot this project. This is a JT Racing T-Maxx Truggy chassis. It is set up with dircet drive now but also has center diff. or 2 speed set ups. Remove the servo horn and 3 screws from bottom oF chassis to remove tranny. Corsa .46 engine with CEN 7.7 pipe with baffles removed. Plan on using a 1955 Nomad Wagon body. Ill switch the shock towers after running thur the different tranny set ups.

RE: Truggy Maxx- Old School
Wheen looking at the different set ups for this truck I decided to try the lowest gearing possible 1st, beef up the weight and mountian climb it against a Monster T-Maxx (another of the 5 builds). These were the heaviest a-arms that I could find. To lay this Truggy down for the black top I would switch to the 2 speed tranny and swap to a set of RPM arms. Next I'd ditch the Corsa for a mid or big block engine that turns more RPM with a stronger top end, use the low profile street tires pictured and add a wing. That look will come later in the season. I am putting together parts to build a pair of Revo Racers and will use RPM Tru-Track on both.

RE: Truggy Maxx- Old School
Ya but now that I have it RTR I see the error in my ways. I'll run this set up with video before I go to Truggy Rev 2. I can loose a ton of weight by switching to RPM towers and arms Tru-track in the rear and going to a 4 shock package. I should have great balance with the battery and fuel tank beside the engine. It's center of gravity is way lower than my Titanimum Maxx - Street Racer so it should corner great. Thats an RD Logics .25 pictured and it's cooling head is lower than the top of the tires.
