looks like they put the battery on the front, put the suspension longer and lower and put a roll cage on it, i still run mine from time to time but there is no real crawler area here in NYC.

Not that i know of, one of the best and first mods i would do is put the upgraded diff gears in it, thats the only issue i have had with mine or shim the stock ones real good.

RE: ****OFFICIAL ROCK CRAWLER THREAD****
Finally got my RCF that I had traded for. I had these LST/aftershock tires from a previous super class crawler and slapped them on for fun. I seriously doubt the RCF would last long under that stress, but they look cool. I'll probably run a 5.5" tire or there about. I may try the crawler out in stock form first before a complete rebuild, but I already don't like the suspension geometry. Not that that would stop me from building, I'd have to rebuild a perfect truck, it's just the way I am.

I was looking at some pics of the redcat ground pounder and see many similar, if not the same, parts in the axles and transmission. I'm betting many of the parts swap. Only reason I mention it it that the redcat comes with much larger tires and seems to handle them. I may try my huge tires after all.

Went and looked in the exploded diagrams and the redcat looks to have the exact same transmission as the himoto. The axles however only seem to share the gears, everything else is different, and smaller as well. The himoto looks to have larger dogbones and stub shafts.
