MaxCim uses new MEC Superbox
My MaxCim 13Y motor arrived for my new Hangar9 AT-6 Texan conversion from glow to electric power.
The new style MEC Superbox was already mounted with the correct spur and pinion gears as ordered. This was a nice touch by MaxCim.
The Superbox now supports ratios from 1.48:1 to 5:00:1

Here is another view with the new collar and prop adaptor.
The frames of the new box are taller than the old box; about an 1/8” has been added to the top and bottom. This allows use of the 70T spur gear. The motor bolt slots also extend an 1/8” further below the prop shaft center line.
The collar provides more support for larger diameter props. Bearings upgraded to ½”; frames were thickened and spacers were lengthen.
The MEC boxes (Super & Monster) will work with any motor than has a 1”/25mm mounting bolt pattern which is typical of 05/S500/S600 motors.
The spur gear use a standard 48 pitch which is common for RC Cars so pinion for 1/8” motor shaft can be gotten from most local hobby shops.
Other motor shaft pinion sizes are available from MEC like 3/16 and 5mm.
