RE: Tamiya Fast Attack Vehicle Resource Thread!
I bought one at the fleemarket many years ago for $10, bashed it & then sold it to some guy at SHeldon's for $25. I was too young to know.

Interesting new take (good for a painting noob like me!) on painting camo.. paint the base color and then apply the stickers.. ha!
Probably should apply a matte clear coat after the decals are applied... !

The roll cage.. notice the molded in metal screws.. similar setup as some other Tamiyas (such as Wild Willy, etc.)..

Metal ballbearings are included.. (taped to the inside of the box, ha!) but only as "bonus parts included".. not part of the standard issue (plastic bearings / bushings are included in the parts bag..).. kind of interesting..
Only 5x11 bearings are included.. not the 5x8.. (why Tamiya?! [:@]) Good thing that I have plenty of ball bearings of various sizes at home.. so it is not a problem..

I have been wanting to do another tamiya kit lately. i have done a cc-01, lunchbox and midnight pumkin.
I like the idea of a non-camo paint. was it easy to paint everything a diff color?
i was thinking a strong blue. give it a sand buggy look, as the red one has.

Hi it can be done but it's a pain almost all the parts need to be painted as they are all tan.

To bad they don't show them.
I put Frog rear shocks on mine with the stock FAV springs as they are softer ,,,, now it works much better.
