RE: EMWH 2M Funtana PRO!!!
I just got mine flying last week, and I have to say, I LOVE IT!!!!
I'm a pattern flyer, and that plane blew me away. I was so surpised how easy it was to do every 3d trick in the book. I just moved the sticks, and the plane performed on command. This in a 15 mph crosswind too.
I set it up with an OS 160FX, a Karl Mueller header, and an ES 160 pipe. APC 18x8w, and this thing has power to BURN. It hovers at about 1/3 throttle, and will rocket straight up, out of sight.
I really should take some pics tomorrow, it's sorta pretty [8D]

RE: EMWH 2M Funtana PRO!!!
Hey hows it going,
To start I changed my user name from Olympus_86 to infiniti_drifter. I however was not able to finish my Funtana before University started in september. I'm going to school thats about 7 hours away from home so I have not been able to work on my Funtana. However, my first semester ends before Christmas, and then I start co-op so I plan on finishing it completelly and taking it for a flight before school starts again in May.
Skypilot_one:
The engine is a gem. I bought a KS 50cc muffler and they made me a custom manifold for my Funtana Pro. My dad has continued breaking in the engine and on a 18 * 8 APC propeller we get 8350 - 8400 rpm. Idle is very stable and transitions are perfect, no problems. I can't wait to put it into the plane and see the unlimited vertical!
adrian-RCU:
That video is sick!! I downloaded it the first day when you posted it on RCU. I was most impressed by your rolling circles. They were very clean with a nice angle of attack. Your hovering was also top notch, have you actually touched the tail on the ground?
When I go back home I'll post pictures of updates. For anyone that's looking for the next big hit in North America I suggest the following: Exclusiv Modelbau 1.85m Ultimate with an SM 60cc twin. It will tuck inside the cowl with no openings and it has almost 1 more hp than a DA 50. That's going to be my next project.

Please somebody tell us who's kit it is! I have a Moki 180 doing nothing and wouldn't mind a winter project right now. But where do I look for it?

RE: EMWH 2M Funtana PRO!!!
Hey,
Skypilot_one:
I purchased the motor directly from Germany. They can write and understand English very well. Also, when it comes to business they are very detailed in their work and always put the customers needs first. However, my parents were not thrilled about sending a VISA number to this company so I sent a money order that was addressed to the company directly. It took them about two weeks to get the money then they sent the motor. It skipped customs quite easily because they addressed the box as old engine parts. Also, I had previously bought a ZDZ ignition for a 23cc weedwhacker conversion engine and asked them if they could just sell me the engine. They agreed and they took of 60% of their advertised price of their ignitions. So now I have an SM 30 with a ZDZ ignition. Like I stated previously amazing power and the craftsmanship on the engine is superb. Like all of the engines me and my dad own, he has taken each one apart and analyzed each part. He's an engineer so he admires things like internal components of an engine, and the only negative thing that he said was that the fuel line that went from the carb to the body of the engine was a bit loose on the fittings and that it could loose pressure. So if you're looking for a 23cc size engine, with the power of a 30+cc just call them up and buy it. I guarantee you that you won't regret it.
adrian-RCU:
That's true, holding it just centimetres above the ground is much harder than a single tail touch. I was reading a different post and you said that you crashed your Funtana on it's fourth flight, what happened? Keep up the great flying!!

RE: EMWH 2M Funtana PRO!!!
infiniti_drifter,
Thank you for the reply. I am going between this engine and a converted 29cc Sikk engine. The Sikk engine is much less expensive but will weigh about 5 oz. more and make about the same power.

Very bad instructions. They were written by a pretty famous german called Olaf Sucker and they are not very good even if you understand German

If you have a very small instruction manual, it is the first one that is done by EMHW him self! My instruction is very big and has many many pictures on it. With this instruction the buildjob is easy like building a ARF trainer. If you want the new manual, I can send it to you via MSN. Let me know about in a email.

RE: EMWH 2M Funtana PRO!!!
hey,
Just got back from University and wow I did too much partying and I just barely made the minimum average necessary to go on. Next semester I'll study harder. I'm back home now doing a co-op work term so I have had time to work on my Funtana. It's basically 99% complete and I'm going to have to wait for the snow to melt before it's maiden flight. I attached some pics.
Olaf:
I'm sorry if I offended you but I did have your instruction manual and all that I meant to say was that you documented your 3m Katana much better than you did the Funtana Pro.

RE: EMWH 2M Funtana PRO!!!
Helo
I,m planing to buy 2M funtana in ARF version from SEBART ( Sebastiano Silvestri).
As far as i know its the same plane as the EMHW ,but it has a bit diferent engine box construction than your funtanas.
And i dont know if i can install a SM30 engine on it
If you have any idea about it please tell me
Thanks, Peter

I need a cowl for a Exclusiv-Modelbau Funtana Pro. Dessert Aircraft says they only sell the kit. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hello good morning.
I bought a second-hand Funtana with a DLE 35 and I have no idea where the CG is located. I tried it just behind the balloon and to center it I have to put 1Kg of weight on the nose. It seems too much to me. Could someone tell me the exact location of the CG?????
Thank you
