I have not yet, Im still weighing a couple options. He's firm on the price so, even though its a good deal, well see how it works out!

RE: Newbie Help Please!
Alright, so Im deciding to go with the tl 01 clone. Its completely RTR, cheap, and fully upgradeable with quality parts. I think it'll be a good place to start. Now with that said, whats the most important first upgrade?

RE: Newbie Help Please!
Hello, i just picked up the volcano exp from redcat racing. I chargered the battery for 8 hours like the manual said. However the manual does not say how long to charge it afterwards. I am getting very short run times (like 5 minutes each). Is this right or am i doing something wrong? Please respond, thank you. If i need a bigger battery, what battery would you recommend, and should i use a smart charger? Thanks again</p>

RE: Newbie Help Please!
well since im done with everything else i will help u out , ok first off i would recomend you might want to look into a bearing kit for the tl 01. or a Team Orion 12x2 motor. or a brushless kit with lipo battery(1500-5000mah) i have 2 5000mah lipos. also bearings would be a great starter then battery and then brushless and lipo. do this then look into a better chassis(carbon fiber or graphite, or even plexiglass which i can do if u want(i make micro-t chassis's out of plexiglass). hope this helps

RE: Newbie Help Please!
ive had luck with bearings in the past with xmods, they look like theyre expensive for the tl01 though. Does a lipo make a big diference?

@ MrTom3277-
As was suggested, the "proper" etiquette is to phrase your question in a new thread, may I suggest the [link=http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/forumid_427/tt.htm]Redcat Racing Support[/link] forum, right here on RCU?

RE: Newbie Help Please!
ya bearings are expensive but u have to know were to get em. ceramic bearings are $50+ but regular bearings are like $20 and under. also a lipo makes all the difference in the world. it can make my rustler vxl go from 40mph (with a 3000mah batt.) to 70mph+ (with a 5000mah lipo) those r expensive so i would recomend going with turnigy batteries. great quality lipos for half (if not less) the price. i also know a guy that fixed 4 out of 5 of my fried lipos(sry to change the subject :P. also sry about that buzz bomber
