Flight Conditions are not on my software version, but it will come. On the Mercury SRS I use a 3 pos switch to give me three flight modes with gyro/no gyro.
You can set the buttons in various operating senses.

Yesterday four more flights with my CARF Joker and on Saturday four with my CARF Hybrid 50cc electric Extra.
On new installs you can monitor Rx performance and battery supply by double tapping the widget at the end of the flight. One thing I learnt was to reset the stored figure just before take off, so you see the flight performance and not the ground based figures from the pits. Joker figures shown over an 7 minute flight.

Flight testing has been going on every week for nearly a year now in different parts of the World-they are just not all on RCU!
i hoped to fly yesterday, but we have hi winds and rain again in the U.K. I think the tests have already shown trust in the Core system is justified. The latest software was completed in time to install in the first deliveries, this will be completed in the first few days of next week and the wait will be over for the first customers.

Thank Dave for this very extensive and detailed thread! The CORE in the Americas should be available soon. We are still working on the FCC certification. There will be a release of the CORE in Europe before in the Americas but we are still hoping mid to end of Spring!

Dave I wanted to have a chat with you about your setup on your mephisto. When you have some time, can you shoot me an email at the email in my signature? Thanks Dave!

Radios like the Core will never be ‘finished’ so much is possible ( and intended) updates will be freely available from the PB terminal. It is so easy to update using a USB stick.

The first Core delivery is with me (well part of it-UPS have delivered most of it today, but not all!)
There are changes between my prototype Tx and production.
Pictures of a Black one as my Silver radios are in the AWOL box!

Are these guys early bird orders or are they available for sale?
Also there looks to be a gap around the two rotary knobs revealing the PCB? Not exactly up to an dust/splash IP rating if you get caught in a rain shower is it? Probably IP40 around those knobs...

They are available for sale, but these are some of the pre ordered units-there are more to come.
Like PB would do that...what you see is a carbon fibre finish insert below the knob...

Preorder placed last spring, looks like the wait will a while yet for North America. Oh well looks like it will be worth the wait.

Big brown van has arrived with my missing Core radios (and CARF boxes) so all good now :-)
The silver finish has changed from my glossy prototype finish as I've tried to photo here.

Happy to announce that the CTU (turbine telemetric) now has support for the new PowerBox CORE transmitter.
(More on the CTU here: ** Digitech Central Telemetric Unit for Jeti **)
I have a feeling that the CTU is one of the VERY first devices in the world that supports the CORE transmitter from PowerBox (https://www.powerbox-systems.com/pro...uersystem.html)
More testing and fine-tuning coming, but so far it looks really nice
I made a "not so good" video of the "first light" between CTU and CORE (using simulated/recorded data from a JetCentral engine)
More as things progresses!

Bit more detail on the tray version. Feels comfortable for those used to this layout.

Hi,
What is the arched pieces on underside for?
To tilt the transmitter slightly while resting on the ground?
To give more room for the side levers to the ground so less risk they do not alter position when transmitter sit on the ground?
I see no support points in lower end of backside of transmitter - does the transmitter rest on ground on the alcantara leather there?
If so, will it not be wear and tear on the alcantara leather on those resting points when transmitter is sitting on the ground?
/Bo

Bo

Loops are to lift the Tx clear of the ground. You are right that the alcantara touches the ground when its on its back. The hope I'm sure is that people are not kicking it along the ground like that ;-)
Mine after 8 months constant handling and flying, you can see the back is unmarked.

Just adjusting a friends stick tension, to remove the back, the side cheeks need taking off as there are screws underneath.
The two cap head screws (1.5mm allen key) adjusts the stick springs.

Only just noticed, but there is now a rubber bead on the carry handle/screen support.

Surprised you have to take the radio apart to adjust stick tensions.

Really? I would sooner remove the back to adjust than have guys ‘digging in’ with screwdrivers blind and stick loose blind grommet in!

Dave all the Whia tools you have that one looks bent :-)
