Hey guys, I've made my decision and will go with the Revo 3.3 once I get the money together. I have seen some videos of the hpi Baja 1/5th and have fallen in love with it. I am seriously considering get one of those. What do you guys think?

I have a 2.5 with only a quart threw it and it looks brand new. I like the 2.5 better than the 3.3 because of the shorter chassis.

How much did you guys buy your Baja's for? How long does a full tank of fuel last in a Revo 3.3 and the Baja 1/5th?

Their pretty much about the $950-$1000 no matter where you go. A full tank in Baja lasts nearly 45minutes. A stock Revo tank depending on tuning/driving will last from 8-16 minutes.

That's what puts me off of the Revo 3.3 and similar trucks is that a full tank lasts for no time at all. Personally I think the extra investment is worth it for the Baja.

Yea but the acceleration is awesome on a nitro. The suspension on my revo is worth it. The baja isn't 4wd either. The baja is still so cool though. Both have pros and cons.

To each his own. It takes like, what, 5 seconds or less to refuel? I don't mind, plus my Revo will take alot more abuse then a Baja will. All boils down to mass, and kinetic energy. Bigger/heaver = falls/breaks harder.

I factored the cost into the equation when buying my Revo. I'd have to purchase nearly 17 gallons worth of Nitro fuel at $30 a gallon to equal the cost of the Baja alone. Dunno about you, but 17 gallons will last me a long time.

It seemed like your Baja was taking a beatingand still performing amazingly. My worry isn't about being lazy to refuel but the cost of having to buy fuel if the Revo 3.3 tank runs out in 8-16 minutes as you suggested.

Perfectly said. When the baja came out I was so amazed I stared at it for like 4 days. But I started to realize the pro's and con's of each. If you wanted to make a gas powered revo then it would be huge and cost what $2,000?

That wasn't mine, it was my friends who were driving. A gallon of Nitro can last you awhile, just depends on how often you drive and your tuning. Buying nitro by the quart is really stupid and not cost effective, I dunno why they bother making them in that size container.
