Default Sachs Selettra Ignition Coil

Hi All,

I have an engine that I bought off a fellow RCU member a couple of years back that has run awesome for me. Was a great buy. I was told that it is a Sachs 3.2. The problem I have run into is that the coil has gone kaput! It fires, well just when IT wants to....I am having a heck of a time finding a replacement and was hoping that someone out there could help me out/point me in the right direction to finding a replacement in the states.....besides just sucking it up and going with electronic ignition, although feel free to point me in that direction to as I will rule nothing out.

The flywheel on the motor says Selettra and has their "symbol" on it. The coil has the same symbol on it and right on the front it has the following in big raised letters/numbers....PN5523.

I have looked all over the net and can find nothing. I'm sure with my luck these things havent been made in 30 years and the guy that made them was burried with the molds.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advanced,

Russ

I will post a picture of the motor/coil tomorrow

Yeah but NONE of those even look close to my coil and this of course has me wondering if my engine is even a Sachs. Either way it's been a great motor.

Here are some engine pics. Coil pics (or whats left of it as it got tossed under a bunch of stuff in the trash bin and well didnt fair so well) will be uploaded soon.

O yeah I remeber that engine, it's a sachs.
If you can't find a coil you can always go electronic ing, save alittle weight

I have bunch of sachs magneto parts that were removed ove the years to replace with EI.I have never seen a spark coil that looked like yours. Most of the Sachs engines had two coils in the mag. A source coil and a spark coil.
