Ultimate jets black Friday deal: SR-71
Dear all.
We are proud to offer a special Black Friday deal on our new kit for our RCU friends.
The plane can be pre-ordered for a special price of 5899 USD ( airframe ) and 2999 USD ( landing gear ).
We will require a deposit of 25% of the airframe + landing gear value to place your order on the waiting list.
Airframes S.N. 2039 and 2040 are already produced and reserved.
We are now starting production of # 2041 and on, at the pace of 2 airframes per month. Deliveries will be honored in sequence.

Thanks guys.
We have two kits left on the pre-order list.
We introduced the kit to FB and it has been a huge Worldwide hit with 100 000 likes in 48 hours.

Researching a post done by Oli on FB, I found a video of one of the SR-71 in Denmark.
Nicolai SR-71
Here is another flight SR-71
Really like this plane...

Thanks, Edgar.
Camilla posted quite a few videos of the plane on her FB page indeed!

He uses 2 x 140 N.
I have a customer that flies on twin JetsMunt VT-90BLR in Europe.
His empty weight is 19.7 kgs and takeoff weight with a single 6 liter bladder tank is 24.5 kgs ( 10 min fuel endurance ).
The power-to-weight ratio is 0.75 which is more than sufficient for very nice scale flying on this bird.
This customer exclusively uses his plane on a short grass strip. He told me that his takeoff run is 30 meters and landing run 60 meters.
The secret is that smaller engines use smaller thrust tubes and one can fit a single servo for the outer elevons.
This saves a lot of ballast weight in the nose.
Also, the single bladder tank saves about 1.5 kgs of weight ( no air traps, 1/2 the amount of fuel lines, no kevlar composite )
To appreciate the design work I have done on this airframe, one must consider that Lance's competition plane is 40 kgs wet.
He told me once that I would never be able to produce and airframe that would be able to enter the JWM. I proved him wrong...

Tell Keld that I like his flying!!!
I specifically like the way he holds the nose of the plane up on takeoff. It really looks like the real one. I am going to do the same on mine!

The takeoff was with 1/2 throttle only, Keld (the pilot) likes scale like takeoffs

I am still struggling to catch up and it looks like Jet Power 2019 is going to be even more crazy.

Not yet. We broke the disc brake servo gear during the first acceleration-stop tests.
The small Dymond D47 nylon gear could not hold the slight vibration created by the steel disc when it warms up.
So we had to completely re-design the brake caliper to house a slightly bigger metal geared servo.
I also changed the pads from sintered copper to resin. I am getting a lot more grip when cold.
The factory static tests we did this week have proven to be good. So I will taxi test the plane again after Top Gun.
If everything goes as expected, the maiden should occur immediately after validation of the high energy accelerate stop tests.
