Default 1/8 scale Tekno truck

What is the best esc to motor connection for the Tekno short course truck? A Tekin motor solder to a Gen 2 speed control or a Castle mamba motor with a castle direct connect esc? Is there any soldering required?

Thank you

A diehard racer will tell you to use no connectors for the least amount of resistance. I do believe all Castle Creations motors, and speed controls, come with motor connectors. CC's 1/10 scale stuff comes with 4mm bullets, and their 1/8 scale stuff comes with 6.5mm bullets. Tekin, you're gonna have to solder. Just check their website specs/manuals.

Seeing that you are asking a lot about soldering...Do you have a soldering iron?

Even though Castle's ESCs come with female motor connectors, you still will have to solder choice of battery connector.

Yes, I have a soldering iron. Was just wondering what motor to buy. Tekin, Castle, or Orion.

If racing...you want a sensored motor for total motor control (so they say). There are ESCs out there that are both sensored/sensorless design. They start off sensored for low end control, then the speed control switches over to sensorless for better efficiency.
