Tamiya TA-05 front wheels not spinning
Hello all,
Today I found my front wheels aren't spinning. I took apart the front covers and found when I move the belt, the gears inside don't seem "attached" to the axles and make them spin at the same time. I'm not sure what's wrong. Can anyone give any advice?

The nylon part of the lock nut, that is used to keep diff/thrust bearing tight, is probably worn out. They generally have a long life span. I replace the diff lock nut after a rebuild or two. In a racing situation, I'd opt to change the nut every diff rebuild. Also, when assembling ball diffs, after pushing the thrust bolt/ screw through the center of diff, I like to be sure the thrust bolt/screw is free from any grease that may have got on the threads while building the thrust bearing.
