DLE 20RA Overheating

My Feedback: (4)
Do you have telemetry on cylinder head? Is it cowled? If so, what the does the inflow/outflow look like?
How long does it happen in the flight? Or is it on the ground?
It's pretty common for the DLE55RA to need a heat shield between the carb and muffler. 20RA might be the same and the carb is getting heat soaked.. It will act like the engine leans out.
Attached is an example I have on my 55's. A piece of .032 aluminum bent and attached between the muffler and cylinder head.

I have two DLE 20 side exhaust engines, one to use on a TF .60 P-51 ARF. I did not buy the 20RE because it looked like an "overheating" issue waiting to happen (same with the DLE55RE), even though it would have been a much better match for the Mustang.
I was only asking to confirm whether or not this is an actual problem with these "RE" engines?
