anyone using the TJT 3000?
I have a NIB TJT 3000. How do they perform and is anyone using them? I plan to put mine in a blown up Ziroli Panther, or maybe a urofighter. Thanks Mike

They work great, I'm flying one in an Avonds F15 and from my experience so far I really like it. I had some starting problems that were only ECU setup issues but after that it starts and runs great. I really enjoyed dealing with Chris and he is very knowledgable about his engines. I love the unique sound and the quick spool time. I also fly a Jetcat P120 that runs flawlessly and have had a little experience with the RAM line years ago. I think the TJT is a great engine. Good luck to you.

I had the new TJT 3000 on my Viper Jet. I got 11 flight with it. Only burn 64oz for 7 min flight time. Evrything work perfect. But it is still early to tell. I only rate good or bad after 50 flight.
For now, this engine is my second choice. Jetcat is still my #1 engine.

I've had mine for a year now. Haven't had a failed start except for once (my fault) I didn't have enough start gas to it. I have the TEMS unit and the 3000 has not failed me or ever given any indications of problems. After all I've put mine through, I consider it bullet proof. Just make sure all your connections are correct and that everything is set up properly - you shouldn't have any problems except for having to purchase Jet-A and start gas along with charging your packs. It's a plug and play set up. Enjoy it!

I have the TJT 3000 installed in a Spider Jet F-16 with 9 flights to date, including about 30 or so starts while on a test stand. I've got the Fadec ECU and the entire system works as advertised. Starts have been flawless and this engine is fuel efficient, sounds very different than my Ram 1000, and is super fast on spool up. Chris is a pleasure to work with - you won't find a better engine for the money.

Hi Mike, I believe your ECU to be the TJT/FADEC version AU-303 which is supplied with all TJT-3000 Eagles sold in U.S.A. by FTE.
Mike, Your big Panther project also interests me as I am about to start building a new Airworld 1/5 scale F-9F for my TJT-3000

100% satisfied with mine! It has been nothing short of superb....mind you, my buddy and I spent considerable time during construction to ensure that the installation was bulletproof - turbine and servo wiring separated by as much distance as possible; RPM sensor wire separated from both; all fuel tubing joined by festo fittings, or clamped onto barbed fittings, and two huge fuel filters - one on the aircraft, and one on the fueling line. A UAT is a must-have in my books as well. As a final measure, a FOD screen was installed, for our own safety, as well as to prevent bugs and seeds being sucked into the compressor....
