TS-4N Carb help needed for newbie!!
Hello all,
Had my Thunder Tiger TS-4N (first RC car ever) for two months so knowledge very limited. I suffered the carb falling apart at the weekend and the throttle jammed wide open. After i managed to retrieve the car i went home and dismantled the carb assembly to rebuild as per the manual.
No problems doing that, but it appears i have moved the factory settings and can't get the car to keep running now. I have adjusted the needle valve, idle speed adjuster and mixture metering screw back to suggested stock settings as per the handbook, but i can only get the car running on part throttle and as soon as i back off the trim on my handset to idle position it stalls. I'm 99% sure its the mixture metering screw thats at fault - how can i get to neutral settings and get the car to keep running as if i can do that i'm sure i can tweak it from there ???
Please help as i'm bloody clueless!!
BTW, the position of the throttle is about 1/8 inch as also suggested in the manual at idle position.
Cheers,
Rob
