I have just bought a new 8 cell samsung pack rated at 1850 MAh - Mi-Mh

I have charged the pack no problem.

1 question though I am using the charger as stated above. when I try and dis charge the pack it comes up on the display OUTPUT ERROR

It also did this with the Hitec pack I could charge it ok but not di charge

Have you tried to do this in the manual mode?

You'll need to set the type of battery, # of cells, discharge current, etc.

Are you removing the pack from the radio or are you trying to do it through the charger jack? If you are doing it through the jack, they can't be discharged that way because of a diode in the radio.
