Have to echo what wgeffon stated. Its the best flying bird I've ever had my hands on!! Its very precise, and when you let off the sticks, its just stops, like now! Putting it together is supposed to be real quick since so much of the work is already done for you. Enjoy it!!!

Hey John- Your gonna have to move that small block hot rod to fit that big boy in your garage. Get it done soon so we can watch some videos of it.

Yeah, Ill have lots of pics, and vids of course. I have never flown one, OR seen one in person for that matter. It didnt fit in the trailer quite as I hoped, gonna be worse with wheels on it! Going to have to figure something out for that. Guys at the shipping company thought it was awesome and they didnt even get to see what was in the box!
Ill be IMACing it, as well as 3D, looks like its good for both from the vids I have seen. I am impressed by all the work that is done, what you see above is right out of the box, I just put the rudder one, stabs, and wings, slid the gear in and thats what you get! Its gonna take longer waiting for the stuff to get here than it will to finish it. Which is fine, I got another project to finish before I concentrate on this baby.
Did I tell you I cant wait?

Looks sweet, I downloaded the manual and just checked it out for fun. The way they mount the rudder is real trippy, its got pushrods going all over the place.

Hey John, you may want to buy some larger wheels, or you know, better yet, because I don't want you to go to any trouble, just send it my way, and I'll deal with ALL THE TROUBLES of getting it in the air. It looks great, congrats. I think when my 3.0m Extra gets here, it's size is going to surprize the beejeezus out if me he he, I haven't even considered what my wife may think ----- straighjacket perhaps.

John,
I work for Burt Rutan's Scaled Composites, and when I saw one last year, I thought to myself, this is similar to what I would build.
Let it be known that it's way over-built, but they did a decent job of engineering and the people that put it together do a fantasic job. (the workers should get a big bonus for their quality, I would have a tough time matching it)
If I built it, it would cost a $1000 more and be 10lbs lighter, but I go for the n'th degree stuff.
All in all, you should LOVE the plane you have, there really is not anything like it on the market!!!!
Congradulations!
BTW: Everyone should be hearing news about us on June 21, 2004.

Well I hope the flight is a success but I have my doubts - the craft is probably grossly overbuilt and a heavy pig [>:]
When the flight occurs - I want to see Darrinc on tv during the press covereage. Hold up a RCU hat or something. You do that and I will give more weight to your postings.
