flying in St Louis on 6/26
Hey guys I'll be in STL that day and will have my plane with me.
Anyone going to be flying that would be OK with a guest at their club?
Let me know.

There is a public flying field in St. Louis, on the south-southwest side, called buder park. They used to require a permit issued by the parks department or such, I don't know if it is still required, haven't lived there for quite some time!
Try this link for more info; http://www.flybuder.com/

Did some research on the site; check #2 flying permits here;

Looks like if you live 50 miles away, and have your AMA up to date you should be good to go.

I'll be there Wayne. I'll try to go down to the Pro Bro on Sunday. I'll get Kissel and Lanzendorf there too.
You don't need a Buder Permit to fly, just AMA card. I run the website www.flybuder.com and I am the VP of the field now, so you can fly as often as you like. Anyone is welcome to our field much like the AMA's field in Muncie. No permission or reservations needed!
There are no 3D restrictions at Buder Park anymore as well. You can hover over the runway, in your face or whatever. Just be courteous to other pilots. Also the 8:30 am rule is also gone. Start em if you got em.

Tom you can bring your Extra to Springfield for the Open house on Sunday 6-27-04. Wayne will be there then. Get some flights on it and have Wayne really see what it can do.

Just curious, since I haven't been out there in many years. Have things changed? Buder used to be a public flying site run by the county...there were no "officers". What is the structure now, that you are "VP of the field"...or are you VP of a club that uses the field? I know there were a couple clubs that met out there when I used to live there in the early 80's.

Tom,
I wont have time to fly anywhere that day except STL. I have to be in STL that night for a graduation party and the next day is the Springfield fly-in that I will be attending.
You guys should drive over to STL that day and we can all fly at Buder.
Is there another ProBro that weekend? (too many pro-bros now to keep track of.)
Dion,
I figured Buder is where we'd wind up. Glad to see things have gotten worked out there.

I'll check and see If a road trip is in the cards. I doubt the extra will go on the road though, not enough room left for anything else[&:]

Well,
No flying for me in STL this Saturday. I will be working that day.
Everyone should try and make it to Springfield, Illinois this Sunday for their Fly-in. Its always a good time.
