RE: Engine cuts out
Try redoing your carb settings, check glow plug. Could be too righ, or to lean...if its abrupt, then im guessing lean...if it bogs down, too rich. Other then that glow plug is best bet, take it out, and put it in the starter. - Justin

RE: Engine cuts out
ill check the clutch but i think that is working ok
my car wont idle for more than 5 seconds either. its really annoying as i have to keep reving it to keep it going.
should it be leaner or richer.
if it helps, when it stalls the engine sounds as if the pitch is going upwards (if that makes any sense)

RE: Engine cuts out
I haven't screwed with nitro motors in a long time so i could be wrong but it sounds like either the idle set screw is set so the carb closes too much. (too low of an idle) or the low speed needle is set too lean.
It's kind of trial and error so you might want to trial those things and see if it helps at all.
As for glow plugs the rule of thumb is "when in doubt, swap it out". I've lost count of how many times i've pulled and pulled and pulled that stupid pullstarter to finally figure out that the glow plug was going bad....argh!
