3D CAD models of R/C engines?
I wonder why R/C manufacturers don't post 3D models of their products on their Web sites???
I used to work in machine tools business and all the suppliers of bearings, linear guides, etc. made 3D CAD models of their products available for designers to add to 3D models of our lathes. Wouldn't it be nice to have such information for R/C engines?
I have a pretty detailed 3D model of MDS 40, which I made studying Autodesk Inventor. It took me some time to measure the engine and to create it's parametric model. I wouldn't want to spend as much time again, besides, I don't have access to some engines I'd like to try fitting in my plane.
Does anyone here have 3D models of their engines (in SAT format?), he or she is willing to share?
I'd offer space on my server to host the files for anyone to download.
