Don't know if this is the correct one. Also, don't know if it ships from the US.

You want to change over to separates? Here is my recomendation:
Futaba gy240 HH gyro
3s LiPo battery (and LiPo charger)
Main ESC with proper current capacity (GWS ICS100 or Pixie 7P)
High frequency tail ESC (Schulze or TREC)
Berg receiver
Your gws 6 receiver will do.
This will give a very well behaved heli.

11.1v is no problem. Your ESC which should have a BEC circuit will take care of the problem. You just need to make sure the ESC can take 11.1v and BEC can supply enough current to run the rx, servos etc. Also you need to verify the esky radio will work with GWS receiver. If you are using the esky radio, you will also need to get a mixer board.

WoW ok i think i am better off puting it on e@@@ and take a loss then save my money and get a real helicopter . makes no sence to me to spend all this money on this stuff and then later i will want to go brushless list goes on and on ......
its like my first car got it for $300.00 spent 10 grand in motor and the faster i made it the more money it cost and the more it broke down
like helicopter $200.00 in helicopter $600.00 in parts.

Ok i went separates
i ordred from like90 very helpful answered all my questions .
2 Castle Creations Pixie 20P Brushed Speed Control
1 Telebee Heading Hold Gyro
1 Futaba 7CHP radio
1 Berg 6* DSP GIII Receiver
in hope that some day i upgrade to a t-Rex and i can move it all over to it but the esc
as always the electronics cost more then the helicopter. but hopefully i can use most in a new helicopter when i out grow this one . if i had to start over i would have started with a honey bee 2 without electronics and added separates . so if i was to say one thing to someone getting in the hobby its cheaper in the long run to get a bare bones helicopter and go with separates at least for me it seems that way
yay i can fly again very soon
again thank you all for your answers
Merry Christmas and happy new year

Did you order them yet?
You'll need a 25A ESC for a t-rex
Also have you considered brushless? seem as you are spending so much going seperate

Yes it is a lot of money. hopefully i wont have to upgrade radio and receaver for a long time .
the T-Rex kit i am looking at
1 x T-Rex 450X EP helicopter (latest version!)
1 x ABS Stock blade
2 x stock wood blades.
1 x Decal set
English Manual (This is US version)
Align400S 2800KV brushless motor
Align 25A brushless Speed control
and i have to add servos
i thought about getting anouther 4 in 1 board but some day i will want to upgrade the helicopter
yes the esc will be useless in the t-rex
i can allways sale the honey bee 2 with esc
i just want to get the honey bee flying then upgrade to anouther helicopter
when i can fly better
i cant see spending $60.00 in a 4 in 1 board thay may last one week are 1 day

If you're still looking for the 4 in 1 controller, I carry all of the Honey Bee parts and they are in stock.

I've had the same issue...but I don't wanna spend 60$ on a new one if it's going to burn out quick...But, I'm also a college student so I don't wanna spend big bucks to go sepeerate....So, I ended up turning it back to ESKY, but I'm still waiting for the part back...anyone know any more good options?

My 4 in 1 works fine, I've even put 8 amps into it for about 15 seconds, still works..... (was testing to see how many amps it could take, 8 wasn't too good for it, smelt somethin' cooking in there....) It puts out 4 amps at full throttle. The HB2 seems to be a good heli to learn on, I wouldnt' expect it to do anything crazy though, after all it's $200.
I'm in the same boat as you, in college. No job till summer, and a g/f. Money I do lack, sucks your 4 in 1 burnt, I feel for you.
