DA50 and slimline pitts muffler supports
Anyone have a picture of an installed DA50 using the Slimline Pitts (smoke or non-smoke) muffler??
The instructions are worthless and the brackets that came with mine apprear to be just as worthless....
I know these mufflers have a rep for breaking without support so I would love to see one before I am forced to make a bracket...
anyone???

Here's a couple of mine. I did have to grind the side of the bracket a bit. I was too afraid if it rubbed the cylinder, that it might cause radio interference. I might just worry too much also.

RE: DA50 and slimline pitts muffler supports
Thanks for the replies guys! Definitely helped.. I thought both pieces went together to form one bracket. Turns out, the thick one is used on the exhaust side to spread the tension while torqueing the bolts that hold the muffler to the engine... and the muffler support bracket had the holes drilled wrong.. I redrilled and installed like the pics and it now works fine...
I have my doubts as to whether the bracket will last long anyway, but I did install it...
