Default Extra 260

Tom.....I have two questions about the new Extra 260. Do the wings incorporate the new thinner airfoil and sharper leading edge for improved IMAC performance ? Will you eventually offer a fiberglass landing gear ?

Yes, it has the new airfoil. Yes we plan to have a FG gear. ORiginally I wanted to supply the plane with FG gear, but it did not get finished in time.

hi tom - tony covino here. just a quick question on airfoil dynamics 101. if an airfoils thickness is reduced, does it decrease the wings lift given similar wing loading? thanks

To be honest I don't know.

A thicker airfoil, all other things being equal, tends to be less critical when stalling, it stalls more gently and at a lower speed. Whether it also generates more lift maybe someone else can answer.
