Default corsair for my rossi 53

is there a corsair out there that I can SQUEEZE my rossi 53 into.
i like an arf that is strong enough for this engine. I love to over power. the smaller the plane the better.
what is a faster airframe a corsair or a mustang?

Bugsy,

Since no one has replied to your thread I thought I would so you didn't feel like you were being ignored....

Probably the only Corsair ARF for your Rossi would be the Lanier one. You may want to see if there are any reviews on this plane. I personally haven't seen one but that doesn't mean they don't exist.

here's a few links I found:

http://www.lanierrc.com/lrcprivate/L...f4UCorsair.htm

MAN did a review in the Nov '01 issue:

http://www.modelairplanenews.com/toc_pages/nov01.asp

I built a Wing Mfg Corsair from their 'short' kit (which is similar in size to the Lanier ARF) and used an OS46. I added scale flaps. Flew great. Not blistering hot but very scale.

hth

Default ARF corsair

There aren't too many ARF corsairs out there that are small. Pica makes a 1/12 scale ARC and ART corsairs. A .53 might be a bit much for these. Global has a beautiful .46 size ARF corsair that would be a good choice. Let us know what you get.

Default P.S.

To answer your second question, the Mustang is definately the more streamlined airframe, which I guess would make it the faster
one. But like the old saying goes, given enough power, you can make a brick fly!

Default Carsair

I had the Lainer corsair with a Saito 72, glass fuse with panel lines and built in vert fin, fixed gear. Nice plane.

World has one with a glass fuse (no detail) and the vert fin is wood.
comes with a one peice wing with rotaring retracts installed.

I think either of these planes could handle your engine.

Default Lanier Corsair

Well, jumping in a little late, I also fly a Lanier Corsair and I have a Royal 46 in it and its plenty fast for me. In fact one of my fellow flyers that races warbirds told me it would probably be competitive in the type of racing they do. If the Rossi is about the same size as the 45 I'm familiar with then it would fit in the cowling ok. Just expect to replace all the hardware that comes with it and reglue some of the wood parts on this plane. The Kyosho Corsair is just slightly bigger but is a better made ARF but it doesn't fly any better that my Lanier. A Mustang would be faster but nothing looks like the bent wing bird coming in on final...
