CG on WM Extra 300S 27%
Can someone please tell me the recommeded CG point is on a 27% World Models Extra 300S? I can't seem to find my manual that has that information. Also, is the plane supposed to be balanced inverted or right size up?
Thanks!!!
Thanks!!!

Hi Scott, the forward CG point on the extra is 165mm, you can balance it either way but you may find it easier to do it inverted..... good luck with the plane, it is a great flyer

That is what I thought, but typically planes balance on their spars. In this case it is behind the wing tube which is very interesting. What engine did you decide to put on yours? I've got a Fox 2.4 gasser on mine and it weighs in at 16.5 lbs. It is a little heavy but I think the airframe can support it.

Just to be safe, measure the cord at the root. Your initial cg should be no more than 30% of the total. That way there will be no surprises on first flight. Just my .02.

Hey Scott, I have a Brison 3.2 in mine and it weighs in at 15.8 kg the airframe is more than sturdy enough, if you want to lose some weight put in carbon LG, I stayed very simple with the setup, 5645's on all surfaces, 1only on rudder (pull pull) 2000ma li-poly with reg on receiver and a 4.8v 800ma nicd on ignition..... using a bolly wood 22x10 prop.... all works great ;-)
