Good Pull Pull article in Fly RC magazine
June edition of Fly RC has a good article on setting up basic pull pull rudder control. I've never seen so much good info on this topic. There are examples of bad and good ways to do it. I'm going to tear that one out and keep it. Too bad there wasn't a web site that had all of this covered.

RE: Good Pull Pull article in Fly RC magazine
I don't find this article interesting at all! A quick search of R/C forums yields plenty of more interesting information: what to make the pull-pull from (like FireLine fishing line and sewing needles) together with pictures and detailed discussion.
Unfortunately, Fly RC seems to be running out of steam--they are reviewing the same crappy ARFs and publishing useless "construction" articles as the old magazines like RCM and MAN...

Jerry Nelsons article is a good discussion but remember he is a manufacture and he is motivated to inform as well as interest you in his products. For 90% of the flying out there the setup he shows is way overkill. It realy is a simple set up with stock non speacilized hardware. Use a BB servo to handle the load, your standard servo wheel/Arm string/fishing line etc and have the attach points of the rudder horn behind the hindge line. adjust and snug up the lines and you will see that when you move the rudder off center one line will tend to go slack this isn't a problem since the airloads will keep the otherline taught and you have positive control. I have used this simpler system for at least a dozen planes some that exceed 100MPH so I know the system works without all the fancy hardware.

There is plenty on this subject on the web if you search for it. See the following site for example.
