Default Steering servo.. need reccomendations

Hi,

I have the Hi Tech 645 hi tourque servo. It does not seem powerful enough to turn the front wheels unless the truck is moving. What servo do you guys use?

The 645 is plenty. why do you need to turn so well wile not moving?
if you start running higher torque asspecially crazy highyou will just run your batteries down a hell of alot faster.
Id stick with the 645.

I am going to be opening up the battery box and removing it to gain access to a stripped out steering cam and figured I may as well change out any potential weak points while I am in there.

the Hitec 645 is not weak.
Ive read some who have went to higher torque from the 645 and just end up switching back. just hate to see you waste more lute, but hey it is your truck...[8D]

"hear" I mean.....or read..whatever.

I have a hitec 5645 in my SS, and the 645 in my Stampede. I'd say use either of those for your Savage, either one has plenty of muscle without being overkill and a huge drain on the RX pack. I just went with the 5645 for my Savage because I wanted a little more muscle for steering but there's no reason the 645 wouldn't do the job either.
