First timer at nitro
I have a traxxas rustler(electric), associated b4, and a duratrax micro street force already. I am looking for a good, hop-up-able, nitro truck, either stadium or monster. I understand the basics of nitro, but i am no expert, so what i am asking is, whats a good nitro for a begginer? i dont want to go overboard on price but could probably spend couple hundred, like 400-500. i am just going to be bashing with it, no racing, so what should i get? thanks guys.

I'll recommend the nitro stampede and use the balance of the cash to buy upgrades. Rpm arms cvd's etc......pede parts are everywhere and it's cheap while starting off 
.
Can always upgrade to a bigger kit later once you're tired of the pede 5/6 month down the road.And it'll have a good resell value if it's tricked well.

If you start with a kit you will end up with a much better truck then a RTR. The radio system in a RTR is not that good and the steering servo is just adequate. The 4.6 kit comes with a lot of up grades as well as a bigger engine. If you start with a RTR and up grade it to the 4.6 standards you will end up spending a whole lot more money.

the money isnt that big of a deal, i just want something that is reliable, durable, strong. yea i think the reverse module would be a good idea. any suggestions?

This is what I am going to get. It is FM and no more crystals to change. The servos in the radio system should be fine for throttle and reverse. I use a Hitec HS-645MG for a steering servo.

so then what i need that radio, the 4.6ss, then a steering servo and thats it? what type of nitro do i need, and anything else i should have along with it, what do you think this will all cost me?

You can get a cheaper radio system but you said money is no big deal. I would get a fuel tank guard, failsafe and better tire inserts. When I am done with mine I will have about $700 in mine. 
I run 20% in my other trucks so I guess I will in my Savage. Would like some 25% but my LHS does not carry anything over %20.
