You might consider the Pica duelist. There is quite a bit here on rc universe about it.
It is a good flyer and not hard to build. A pair of 40's-46's powers it well.

I want a twin.
I put OS Max 26 Four strokes on a Kyosho DC3 (81") and it barely stayed in the air. I then put Magnum 52 Four Strokes on the same plane and it leaped off the ground. I'm selling the DC3 and going all gassers. Wish they had a bigger DC3 that would take gassers.

I was thinkning Duelest. Mainly because it is the only non military twin ,besides the DC3, I know of.
The Diboltin twin looks pretty nice, but i think it's an ARF, I'm looking to build.
DC3 just a little to functional in style I think. I'm looking sleak and sexy.

The duelist and DC-3 aren't the only non-military twins. Look into the marutaka beechcraft baron. I built one last winter (and it took all winter), makes a really nice plane. Powering mine with 2-.52 4-strokes, and the one time I've flown it so far it really rips.

It has a 52" WS, wing panels come off for easier transportation and it uses 2 .40 size engines. The prototype used 2 OS .46 FX's and it went like a scalded ape. It'll fly all day with only one engine also with no adverse effect like yaw. I don't have one in stock right now and I know Tony of Saturn Hobbies has dropped the price. I only get them when it's a special order. The parts all hand cut and sanded from contest grade balsa wood. If interested shoot me an e-mail and I will find out more for you, it's a big one for a funfly, and loads of fun. Don Incoll of Australia did all the Proto's and couldn't say enough good things about it.

I wish you would post ALL about your Marutaka
Beechcraft Baron.
Where you got it.. How much,. Planes specs, how much it took
to build, how hard was it to build... That is one I would be VERY
interested in knowing about...

Baron
Robby,
I got a Beech Baron that is built, in the bones, needs final sanding before covering. I am selling because I will be changing careers and going back to school for several years and won't have time to finish it. I am 3.5 hours West of your location in Chicago and can meet you 1/2 way. I'm out of the country and won't be back until mid-November and can provide pics and more info them.
I have 2 .40 FX engines that I can also sell with it but I recomend two .60 sized 4 strokes.
Take care,
Andy

TWIN.....
I concur with the PICA DUELIST......Built 2 of them.... first one had ASP 46's and flew around on one engine most of the time.....#2 had ST .51's and was a blast to fly ...dont recall ever having to fly on one engine.....Nice thing about the duelist is it flys fine on one engine and is "FAST".....Bill

Robby,
The beech kit is available from Hobby Barn, about $220 for the kit. It's about 72" wing and takes 2 .25-.40 engines. Mine has O.S. .52's. The kit was not difficult to build just very time consuming. I used RAM Nav. lights and Robart Air retracts, which took alot of time to work out. I also used individual servos for flaps and ailerons, which took some more redesigning. The engine mounts also needed some work to fit the 4-strokes.
If you built it stock it probably takes a few weeks to frame up and isn't terribly difficult.
Ben
P.S. Didn't you inquire about buying this plane a few months ago?

Pinwheel Twin for sale
I'm selling this Pinwheel Twin, ready to fly with your TX and Rx. It has two new and great running GMS32A's, standard ball bearing servos on ail, elev., and rud., standards on throttles. It has the Morris mixer installed. It has a roll rate out of this world, waterfalls, pinwheels, easy hoverer, a blast, but I'm getting into larger and gas. I will sell as is or without engines and/or electronics.

crazyj,
So they do. Thanks. Hoping I can find one on RCU, maybe save a little. I'm not in a great rush, just bought a TF DC3 that I want to build first. I'll take my time looking for the Duellist.
Thanks again for the lead.
