Tail wheel advice
I've read some of the posts on tail wheel problems and it seems like it's all in the springs??
My Cap 20L has a problem with over rotating while taxiing. I've tightened up the springs, but still not much better.
Is there a "better than others" tail wheel assembly or should I just try even tighter springs.
Or, is it just something you get used to compensating for.
Thanks!
Mike

The castor on my wheel for my Midwest Extra was very loose(OHIO RC SuperStar-leafsping style), and the plane would weathervane in even a slight breeze, and was a general fight with constant over-steering. I tightened the springs a few times, the last tightening did the trick. It still offers some shock, but overall it's alot better. Each time I just trimmed a few coils off the springs and rebent the hooks. I have no taxiing issues now, and it tracks very nicely.
It only stays on the ground for a brief time, but it's still important, and can be irritating. Anyways, that's how I fixed mine. Good luck.
