Default Draganflyer Wobbles...

Hello all. I Just received my Draganflyer V Ti Pro yesterday and I seem to have a problem. When I activate Ti, it wobbles in flight. Not all the time but about half. Is this normal? What can I do to eliminate this problem? I have only flew it twice outside with Ti activated and both times it has wobbled. When I fly it indoors with Ti off, it does not do this. Anyone else experience this? I would like to find a solution to this before I start using the video camera.

Yes, I don't know whether to call it normal but it is common for it to occasionally do that. Was the sky clear, overcast or partly cloudy? I think it's because the Ti sensors are sensing extreme changes in temperature and are adjusting to a new level. It looks like the thing is having a seizure. I have two DF V's and they both do it. Just wait until you experience the unexplained 1 second of no power! That ought to send your heart through your shoes, especially at high altitudes. [X(] Don't worry though, it always recovers but it will scare you bad the first few times until you get used to it. It is rare but does happen unexpectedly. The next heart stopper is when you are hovering just fine, low or high, and it suddenly begins to fall even with no throttle reduction. What I've read is that this is supposedly due to the fact the the rotors' downwash pushes air from the air column underneath and creates a vacuum with no lift. The remedy is just to jog the throttle a bit and/or move in any direction or just yaw (flat spin) to break the event. In other words, do what you have to to escape that behavior. That only happens occassionally too.

No problem and thanks! After experiencing alot of these issues and having noone but DFI to talk about it with, I was happy to find this board and see that I wasn't the only one.

Has anyone else been doing any flying with Ti right around sunset. If I take off right before the sun goes down then continue to fly until after it goes down, I occassionally experience a little bit of instability that wasn't there when the sun was out. I'm thinking the temperature change is enough when the sun goes down that the Ti sensors are reacting from what they were set at when the sun was still out. In other words, stability seems consistent when I calibrate and fly all before or all after the sun goes down but not during. It may be incidental but it's a good theory anyway.
