Default revo problems

Hi all, I am fairly new to nitro engines and my revo 3.3 is cutting out and has almost no speed at full throttle. It doesnt seem to be to lean or rich and the idle speed is fine but this still happens. Is it possible a loose slipper clutch can cause something similar like this to happen? (may be a stupid question).

Thanks, Phone book

what temps are you running? 250 to 270 f. works best with mine.
cover basics first, tighten slipper, wot is high speed needle so try richening up an hour or two and then run is to see if change is noticed as cutting out could be too lean condition on needle. watch temps and look for good smoke.

If this is your first truck, and you just bought it dont tighten anything. Everything is right where it should be. I would turn the needle back to its factory settings, or 4 turns out from closed. turn that needle slow and carefully when you close it up, Should turn easy, then back it out about 4 turns. The 3.3 has a tight pinch on the TDC top dead center. How you get your power. Takes time to get that engine broken in. I have heard from Traxxas them selves it can take a gallon of fuel before you are broken in fully.

Thanks i have already broken it in and it had been running fine for many uses but all of a sudden it just started acting like this. I didnt crash it or anything but i'm thinking it might be happening because of some sand in the carborator. (not sure)

Thanks

You got sand in your carb and knowingly ran it? DUDE NOT GOOD!!!!!!!!! Sand will KILL your engine, it is abbrasive. If you know there is sand in the carb/engine, take it apart and flush it with nitro and nitro engine cleaner, anything that has worn prematurely, replace it.
