Good first timer truck...
Yeah what would be a good 1st truck? It needs to be able to take allot of abuse and go fast. I'd like to be nitro. I live in the country so I won't be driving on allot of asphalt mostly grass ( I have a big yard) and gravel. I kinda prefer a rtr but if its not thats fine.

RE: Good first timer truck...
Yeah stick with revo or savage, and get the basic ones, ive heard alot about the better ones(bigger enines, more hop ups, etc.) and they say they are mch harder to tune, revos are v. expensive though, but faster than the savage
Hope it helps

RE: Good first timer truck...
In my opinion, the best bang for the buck in an RTR nitro Truck is the Monster GT. It's big enough that it goes through grass like it's not even there, it's easy to tune, easy to work on and maintain, commonly available, has a two-speed and reverse, and it's tough as an anvil. The only thing I've broken on mine is a sheared screw on the rear bumper brace, and I had to launch it off a 7' high topsoil stockpile and land ON the bumper to break that. It's not THE fastest out of the box, but that can be remedied with an engine upgrade or even a simple gearing change. I may be biased toward the MGT, having not owned many of its competitors, but I've been very happy with my MGT over the 18 months I've owned it.
