Default HL Tank decoration...one of the best

You guys may be aware I am into painting and weathering of the HL tanks, well this guy is someone I admire, he seldom sells these thing due to the money he asks but you have to take your hat off to the craftmanship of his modeling. He did a Bulldog while back, didnt sell but like this Tiger it was excellent skill, yeh I know he missed some detail like the barrell etc but imagine what it would be like if he had it all. Makes my 131 look like a kid painted it.

The person who (art) painted the Tiger is definately a gifted artist. You could spend hours just admiring the detail work.[:-] Just imagine what he could do on canvas....

One of the best paint/weathering jobs i've seen,it's a crying shame that all the hl wrong bits have not been corrected, especially when you think how long it must have taken him to achieve the finish, perhaps he's not well up on tigers.

It would be nice if local colleges ran night classes where you could learn to paint your tank up like that,i would definately pay more attention in class then i ever did at school!

Maybe it's just me but this looks like a rusty old museum piece and not something thats still fighting. The whitewash would only last a couple of months but its got some heavy rust streaks over it. It looks battered but the paint is only worn down to the grey paint, there's no undercoat or bare metal showing. And there's very little battle damage.

Yeah your right. Maybe it's an Allied captured Tiger and has been sitting in storage for awhile until they can get to it for field evaluations. Rght now their probably testing out a captured Stuka or ME-109s.[:@]

I think thats the whole idea mate, each to thier own but it is a very life like finish.

That thing is amazing. Although, I'm sorry to say, I've seen better painted things... Look up the "Golden Demon" awards for Warhammer 40K and you'll know what I mean.

Still, that thing is bloody amazing.

Otto Carius' first "Tiger" was #212. The officer who had # 213 had a horrible time and was constantly getting it stuck in the mud.

Perhaps that explains the rust?

Great job, though!
