Default What Happened

Hey guys, this odd but my ez-start battery all most caugth on fire. I was charging it and then put it in the ez-starter pushed the button and smoke started coming out, a hole burt through the back of the battery. What do you think caused this, it is old.

how old is the battery and what are you using to charge it? is a fast charger?

I was using the traxxas charger that comes with the revo, the battery is somthing like five years.

That's what the problem is most likely. Replace the battery and you will be fine.

I'll get a new one tomorrow, that battery wasn't keeping its charge anyway.

Yea also remember to let it cool for a min or 2 before you use it. My bro dod that to a fairly new batt and almost lit his whole truck on fire.[X(]
