Default Oil? 26GT2

I normally run motul 800 oil in my 2 strokes as a rule. Is this going to be okay for this engine too? If so can I run it at 48:1 like I do for everything else? How about break in? Is there a different mixture I should be using? Thanks guys/gals, Kevin

Motul 800 is one of the best oils you can get, and is suitable for ANY two stroke engine.

Thanks......I knew it was good (thats why it's used in all 30 some 2 strokes I have) but was unsure of the break in mixture the most. Should I just run the same all the way through? Kevin

If you can avoid it, never change the oil U use for the engine. For running in, just add some extra oil to the mix, and set the carb just slightly richer .

These are the very few oils I have no specifications of. Can you point me to a technical data sheet? I need viscosity at 40°C and 100°C to even start making a recommendation. The 26cc engine needs at least 10cSt at 100°C, a high viscosity index, combined with excellent lubricity to provide proper protection of the very highly loaded big end bearing.
According to Redline publications, their kart oil and racing oils are concocted about the same, but with less detergents. That means the oil will not run all that clean, and the engine needs to be torn down more often.
