I just read the add, nothing really fishy, just some things to watch out for,
Yes he just joined RCU
yes he knows nothing about it.
but on the other hand,
he has agreed to meet in person for transaction.
or pay parcial and send the rest when you get the turbine.
Have someone in that area verify what he has. He is in Louisville KY. there are a few big named turbine pilots in that area. maybe they can verify the transaction.

It's probably a European Jetcat which has NO factory support or warranty here. I ran into this about 6 months ago on another similar deal.

His ad did state that it is from Europe...that means that it will not be serviced by JetCat USA.

My gut feeling is that it is a scam. Come on new member, no serial #, no pictures, whats the name of the hobby shop (how many hobby shops do you know that stock P-200) and the price is to good to be true. When it comes right down to it a face to face transaction, it will not happen. If the seller can provide all the above then the odds of it being legit are higher. The person who does decide to buy it should only allow for a face to face. If it is not a scam I offer my apologies in advance. Good luck!

Speaking as a former almost-victim (aside from my Steve Scott debacle)...this sure sounds flaky from all angles. No ID info, low price, etc..
Having said that, if you do try to meet in person - be cautious. One scam (crime) that has become a problem with large $$ Ebay and Craigslist sales is the face-to-face meeting, where the buyer gets robbed during the F2F. If you do meet up, do it in a busy public place and don't agree to go "to my house where I forgot the item" (a common ploy - you meet at the busy place but go elsewhere to pick up the item).
A simple Google shows that [email protected] is also selling some high dollar items on Craigslist, similar terms and reasons. Might be legit, might not. There's a phone number listed on the Craigslist ad - see http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q...=Google+Search.

It's a scam guys.
I posted my phone number giving the seller the option to contact me if any of his buyers didn't buy. Guess what? I received 3 phone calls from 3 different people from 3 different states wanting to deal with me.
They couldn't give me a serial number, one of them didn't want to open the box, the best one called me from a private number and told me he didn't have his phone with him cause his girlfriend took it. The third guy left a message with a phone number but instructed me to leave a message because he works nights and couldn't talk.
